Neural Decoding Competition, 2016 version

ICBM has hosted competitions for decoding neural data since 2013, and we are happy to announce that we have significantly expanded the scope of the competition this year. In the 2016 Grand Brown Neural Decoding Challenge, participants will have the opportunity to explore a collection of neural, muscular, and video recordings of unprecedented size. In the fall we will launch several contests using this data, including an investigation of the effectiveness of Deep Learning on neural decoding and exploring the features learned by these models on this dataset. Not only will winners of each contest will receive prizes, but also due to the uniqueness of this dataset we anticipate that participants will potentially have the opportunity for publishing their findings.
